Meet Claire

AKA your friendly neighborhood Brand Strategist.

Claire’s story starts a lot like most kids’: with a Christmas wish. But instead of asking Santa for new mini Uggs or for the latest skincare cream like the effortlessly-cool Gen Alpha kids of today, back when Claire was a kid, she asked Santa for The Logo Board Game. And in doing so, she unwittingly took her first step into the world of advertising.

Claire’s Christmas wish that year was born out of her new obsession with commercials. She and loved everything about them— from their clever punchlines to their catchy jingles and bright colors. Plus they earned major bonus points if they made her dad let out one of his famous belly-laughs.

All of that is to say, Claire didn’t go into advertising to become the next Don Draper and sip on lunch break martinis (although if you’re taking orders she’ll have a Lemon Drop with a twist), she just wanted to be the person behind the camera coming up with those moments of catchy cleverness while stirring up a belly-laugh or two in the process.

Although Claire had fallen in love with commercials at an early age, she didn’t know that Brand Strategy was an actual career until she took a course on the subject her senior year in college. From then on, she set her sights on joining the big bad advertising world the same way a toddler tells you exactly what they think of you— without reservation and possibly with a bit too much enthusiasm to match.

She began her career on the agency side, moving from media planning into brand and creative strategy. Over her time in the agency world, Claire led creative and brand strategy work for brands like Bertolli, Kleenex, Whirlpool, and Cottonelle.

If agency life is where she cut her teeth, then going platform-side is where Claire has been polishing them. She joined X (then Twitter) a few years ago and has been loving what can truthfully be called the ride of a lifetime ever since.

Claire’s official title might read Brand Strategist, but you’d be right to guess that at X, no one is just any one thing. She’s also a creative strategist, a mock-up magician, a Keynote-crafter, a quip-loaded copywriter, a professional idea-pitcher, a curious people-watcher, and a chatty creative who has far too many things to say and not enough characters to say it in.

At X, Claire has advised on and led creative campaigns for some of the biggest brands in the world: Apple, Netflix, Doritos, State Farm, and Lionsgate just to name a few.
